Bruce, Claire. Through the Mill with B.R.: A Play on BRinting. New York: The Typophiles, 1950. Limited edition of 650 copies; 300 were for The Typophiles, 100 for contributors, and 250 for the general public. Afterword by Paul Bennett. Epilogue by Bruce Rogers. Designed by James Hendrickson and Claire Bruce. Brown cloth binding with pictorial dust jacket. The 22nd Chap Book by The Typophiles.

Loosely inserted is a letter from James Hendrickson to Elisabeth Post Morrow regarding her purchase of the book and letting her know he would show her letter to B.R. later in the month. Also included are two cancelled checks to Bruce Rogers (both signed by him) from Post Morrow, though they are likely unrelated to the book, as they are dated both dated 1954.

Measures approx. 4.75" x 7.25". Bookplate of Post Morrow to front pastedown. Some light rubbing to edges of dust jacket. Top edge of book and DJ a bit browned.

"Collector Elisabeth C. Post Morrow (July 27, 1896 - February  26, 1992) was a philanthropist and avid book collector. She married Thomas Irwin Morrow in 1920 and spent much of her life in Brookhaven, Long Island, New York. She was a strong supporter of the Brookhaven Free Library, a charter member of the Fireplace Literary Club and the Bellport-Brookhaven Historical Society. She also served as a trustee of the Packer Institute (from which she graduated) in Brooklyn. Her interests included music, books and printing, birds, and local natural areas" (Stony Brook University).
