Bound in full brown calf with large gilt stamped design to covers, along with large gilt chalice to the front cover, with an inlaid snake twining around the chalice, the snake having been painted in green, black, and red. Five bands to spine with gilt title to second compartment and gilt stamps to remaining compartments. Dense gilt-rolled turn-ins of grapes and vines with vibrant brown and green marbled endpapers. Measures approx. 5.5" x 8.25". Light rubbing to joints; still quite sound. Some minor rubbing to edges and corners.
