East Aurora, NY: The Roycroft Shop, 1898. Limited to forty copies "specially illumined by hand", of which this is #25. Illuminated throughout in watercolors (see images), and signed with Clara Schlegel's initials on the first page of the Rubaiyat text. Printed in three colors (red, blue, and black). Brown limp suede with gilt lettering to front cover and green silk doublures. Measures approx. 5.5" x 8.25". Some staining and fading to cover, wear/drying out to inner yapp edge.
