Attwell, Henry. A Book of Golden Thoughts. London: Macmillan, 1894. Bound in full dark brown morocco by Zaehnsdorf, with a beautiful scrolling fleuron design in gilt to each corner of the covers. Five bands to spine with title and author to second and third compartments and similar tooling to covers to remaining compartments. Gilt ruled turn-ins with similar scrolling design to corners. Dark green silk endpapers with all edges gilt. Measures approx. 4.25" x 6". Bookplate of Annie L. Hoe to endpaper. A lovely example, with just a few light spots of rubbing.
