Collection: Fine & Private Press

In this section, you'll find private and fine press volumes primarily from the period of 1890 to 1920. Though these volumes will most often be from the United States and the United Kingdom, you'll occasionally see private press items from Germany and France, as well.

Examples of American presses you may see here include the Elston Press, the Roycrofters, Bruce Rogers and the Riverside Press, the Village Press, and a wide variety of others; both well-known and obscure. Some of the British presses that will pop up are the Doves Press, the Essex House Press, and the Vale Press. Though the majority will be printed on handmade paper, if any of them are printed on vellum, just an FYI: they will sell quickly!
