Limited to 550 copies. Bound by Alfred De Sauty (signed "DE SAUTY" on front turn-in) in dark blue morocco, the covers tooled in gilt with a double fillet border and with a large cartouche of intertwining leafy stems and flowers outlined by gouges. The spine divided into six panels by raised bands and gilt compartments, lettered in the second and dated at the foot, the others with leafy stems and flowers, the edges of the boards and turn-ins tooled with gilt fillets, plain endleaves, gilt edges. Bookplate of William F. Gable on the front pastedown. Offered by Martin Breslauer as item 65 in Catalogue 108 (1981), with a full-page illustration and a price of $750. Measures approx. 4.5" x 6.75". Light rubbing to top and bottom of front hinge. Small chip to top edge of spine. Some small chips to endpapers. A beautiful example.
