London: J.M. Dent & Co., 1905. Illustrated with 50 color sketches by Waterfield on glossy paper. Bound in dark brown crushed morocco by "E.K.B." in an Arts & Crafts style, with the covers divided into 30 rectangles with dual blind rules, and a diamond design created with stylized gilt leaves, dots, and inlaid chrysanthemums and leaves. Title in gilt on an inlaid panel on the front cover. Seven bands to spine (with top and bottom bands in the Doves Bindery style), with title to the second compartment, and gilt design of leaves and dots to remaining compartments. Gilt ruled turn-ins, with "BEN ELINOR / 1935" tooled on the top of the front turn-in. Marbled endpapers, top edge gilt. Blind stamp of John H. Phipps. Measures approx. 8.25" x 10.5". Spotting and darkening to covers, with light rubbing to edges. Thread of upper headband has worn through, exposing the cord. Foxing to contents.
