Warren, Annie Crowninshield. Reminiscences of My Life: For My Children. Privately Printed at the Riverside Press, 1910. [Designed by Bruce Rogers.] Bound in grey paper covered boards with gilt shields to covers and gilt lettering to spine. Four photo illustrations. Decorative border on the title page, chapter heading, and initial. Measures 6.25" x 9". A beautiful copy, with just a few spots to boards and light bumps to head and tail of spine.

Warren, born in 1815, was daughter of Benjamin Crowninshield, Secretary of Treasury under Madison and Monroe, wife of Dr. J. Mason Warren and active member of Boston social life centering around Harvard, being a friend of Lowell, Holmes, Motley, Agassiz, Longfellow and others.

A fugitive item for both Warde and Haas, and not referenced in either bibliography. Letters of Mary Boardman Crowninshield (Annie's mother) was also designed by Rogers, and published in an edition of 320 copies in 1905 (Warde 63). Thirteen copies of this volume are held institutionally, including one at Harvard.
