Graham, each plate in two states, colored and black & white. 333 pp. Signed by The Monastery Hill Bindery on the front lower turn-in at center and Schwartz’s “LS” monogram in the rear, 1⁄4 of the way up the spine on left. Full dark turquoise morocco with paneled covers, the center panel on the front cover made up of bands inlaid polished morocco, with a small portrait of Hester Prynne and her "A" in red morocco. Back cover duplicates this design sans portrait. Spine features a similar design to the covers, with four raised bands and title (hand-gouged) in second compartment and author in fourth compartment; corresponding inlaid bands of morocco along with the signature LS leaf tool and ringlets in first, third, and fifth compartments. Wide double gilt-ruled turn-ins framing bright turquoise silk moire endpapers, with 4 leaves at each corner, t.e.g.
