[Extra Illustrated with Original Watercolors] The Death of Oenone

Tennyson, Alfred Lord. The Death of Œnone, Akbar's Dream, and Other Poems. London: Macmillan and Co., 1892. Limited to 500 copies on large paper, of which this is #67. Bound in cream buckram with gilt rule to boards and gilt lettering to spine. Illustrated with five engravings of Tennyson. An absolutely stunning extra illustrated copy, with eleven full-page watercolors throughout the volume, surrounding the poems on the pages they've been added. (Two feature pencilled outlines on the lower half of the illustration, indicating the artist likely planned to elaborate further.) Measures approx. 6.75" x 10.25". Spotting and browning to covers. Some browning/offsetting to endpapers.

Though no name or initials of the artist appear to be noted within the volume, this is some of the most striking extra illustration work I've ever encountered.
