Bound in an early Bumpus binding in navy blue crushed morocco with a large inlaid light brown cross to front cover, densely decorated with a square gilt stamp. Inlaid blue and red, with gilt rays emanating, provide a very striking "halo" effect to the cross. Gilt-ruled turn-ins. All edges gilt. A few spots of wear to edges and light bumping to corners. Some light browning to pages and offsetting to endpapers. Measures approx. 4" x 6.5".
