Putnam's Sons at The Knickerbocker Press (signed on the front and rear turn-ins) in full dark blue morocco in the Jansenist style, with the title in gilt to the second compartment of spine. Full morocco doublures with inlaid dark brown center panel, with gilt ruling, crescent moons at each corner, accented with small gilt stars. Brown morocco flyleaves. Measures approx. 5.75" x 8.25". Bookplate of Polar explorer Lincoln Ellsworth. Some small spots to the covers, minor wear at corners. Some gilt loss and wear at top of rear doublure.
