Rogers, Samuel. Recollections. London: Longmans, Brown, Green, Longmans and Roberts,  1859. Bound by Zaehnsdorf in full olive crushed morocco with an elaborate art nouveau design emanating from the spine on the front cover and rear covers, featuring leafy scrolling vines, leaves, and flowers, accented with significant gilt stippling. Smooth spine, with title and author to upper portion, and similar stippled leaf & flower design to remaining. Further vines to turn-ins with green silk endpapers. Top edge gilt. Bookplate of Robert Garrett to front pastedown. Measures approx. 4.5" x 6.75". Spine toned to brown, some small spots of rubbing to edges. 1/2" tear to rear flyleaf.
