Original unclipped dust jacket protected by archival Brodart cover. Every Shepard illustration in the book--hundreds of them--has been beautifully hand-colored (including the endpapers and the front flap of the dust jacket). Gift inscription in ink to the half-title page. Measures approx. 5.25" x 7.25". Light wear and rubbing to the DJ, with small chips to the head and tail of the spine, and hinge of the flaps. Spine slightly faded. Small stamp of the "Oxford Bookshop" on the rear flap.
