Illumination on thick translucent vellum by Robert Wilson Hyde, featuring a quote by Richard Le Gallienne:

"What are my Books
My Friends my Loves
My Church my Tavern
and my only Wealth
My Garden yea my Flowers
Me Bees my Doves My
only Doctors and my only Health"

Large initial in metallic gold and green, with smaller initials in coral, gold, and brown. Small leaves in green & black, text in black. Unsigned by Hyde, but in his inimitable style, likely having been sold by either Paul Elder or Charles Frederick Eaton's "The Arts & Crafts" shop.

Measures approx. 12.75" x 8.75". Vellum lightly toned with some foxing to edges; no issues to lettering and initials. Some natural rippling & discoloration to the skin.
