From George Bannatyne's Manuscript, Compiled 1568. Glasgow: Printed for private circulation by Robert Anderson, 1882. Limited to 50 copies in total, this volume one of an unspecified number printed on vellum. Bound by Ramage in citron morocco, with elaborate framework to covers, with gilt fillets, fleurons, pointille, fleur de lis' and a central cartouche built up with delicate tooling. Spine in six compartments with title in second compartment and other compartments with flower bouquet tool and delicate floral tooling as a border. Elaborate turn-ins, highlighting pattern of fleurons and fleur de lis'. Patterned metallic endpapers. Measures approx. 5.25" x 8.75". Some light rubbing to covers and bumping to corners. Some minor spotting to covers. Foxing to endpapers.
