Bound in light brown calf with dual gilt-ruled borders to both covers, featuring gouged diamonds in the center of each rule, and small curls and floral ornaments in the corners. Four bands to spine with large central panel, title and author to top and bottom, accented with small gilt floral stamps. Textured edges to boards and turn-ins. Burgundy and gold marbled endpapers, with same design to narrow page edges. (Based on the forwarding and finishing, likely a German binding, though unsigned.) Measures approx. 5" x 7.5". Light rubbing to edges, spine darkened.
